A week of October has already passed, so I thought it was about time I showed you what I plan to read this month. As much as the next girl October is one of my favourites, first, we have Halloween & Halloween means that you can dress up as silly (or scary) as you want & it is socially acceptable. Second, with October comes a lot of rain & rain means stay inside with a cup of hot chocolate, & stay inside with a cup of hot chocolate means… a lot of reading.
If you are a book reader (you probably would not have read this far if you weren’t), I recommend that you check out Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-a-Thon. Basically, a lot of people come together to read, talk about books & cheer for each other in 24 hours. It’s on October 18 & I will be hosting a challenge (with a prize) here on this blog during hour 7 (7PM London time/2PM US Eastern time). Sometime next week I will write a post of my TBR for that.
My October TBR:
- The Horse & His Boy by C.S. Lewis
- Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie
- Hunger (Gone#2) by Michael Grant
- Eragon by Christopher Paolini
I started reading The Horse & His Boy straight after I finished The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe in September. So far I am more than halfway through & I quite like it. It is right beside me as I am writing this. For my English class I am reading Peter Pan or Peter & Wendy, depend on which copy you look at. I am reading it on my Kindle & let’s just say I am thankful there is a dictionary in that thing. If you are friends with me on Goodreads you probably know by now that I am totally in love with Gone by Michael Grant. Even though I do not own the third book I will be reading Hunger. I have no school for the next three weeks or so & I plan to finish Hunger & Eragon in those weeks. Wish me luck on that.
Have you any books you plan to read in October? What books do you want me to review?
